Sound post for a film is not one job. It is six, layered on top of one another, and the audience only ever hears the result.
Dialogue is cleaned and made continuous. ADR fills what the location could not give. Foley puts bodies and objects back into the room. Ambience builds the world outside the frame. Effects carry the moments that need weight. Music is cut to the picture. Then the mix decides, second by second, what the audience is meant to be listening to.
We deliver to festival, broadcast and streaming spec, with stems, an M&E track and full documentation.

Film Sound Design — common questions
What is an M&E track and do I need one?
Music and Effects — the full soundtrack with the dialogue removed, so a distributor can dub the film into another language. Any film with international ambitions needs one, and it is far cheaper to produce during the mix than to reconstruct afterwards.
How long does sound post take on a feature?
Two to four weeks for a typical independent feature, depending on how much ADR and Foley the picture needs. A documentary with heavy archive material can take longer than a drama of the same length.
Do you supervise ADR sessions remotely?
Yes. We run the session over a remote link with the actor in a local booth, which is now normal practice and saves a great deal of travel.
